JOEL'S BIO

Joel picked up learning the guitar at the age of 14. Since then, his passion for music and the guitar grew. As he became more proficient in playing the guitar, one of his favourite hobbies was to record his own little compositions and sharing them with his friends.

After graduating with a diploma in Engineering with Business at Singapore Polytechnic, his passion led him to pursue a second diploma in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute Singapore, followed by a Bachelors degree in Audio Production (Middlesex University).

 

Throughout his studies, he has equipped himself with many skills including Music Theory and Composition, Studio Production, Electronic Music Production, Audio Post Production etc. These skills have allowed him to take up freelance jobs, such as live sound and studio engineering.

As a lead guitar player, Joel has performed in numerous gigs and events with his hard rock band, "RockWeller"- occasionally performing/recording as a session guitarist with various musical acts. He also took the role of a private guitar instructor, teaching his students guitar playing, music theory and home recording skills.
